Pick-up password & ID

Parents need to provide the password they chose during registration in order to pick up their kids. If no password is provided or the password is incorrect, a valid piece of government ID matching a name on the registration form will be required to check out the camper. If they cannot provide the password or ID, we will not let your child go home with them. This is a safety policy we take very seriously and make no exceptions to.

Add-on · Most underrated perk

Extended Care: the 7-to-6 secret weapon

Standard pickup is 4:00 PM. Extended Care keeps your camper on-site until 5:30 PM (and until 6:00 PM at extended-hours locations: Beaconsfield, Laval, Rosemère, Brossard).

No screens, no structured pressure. Just outdoor games, board games, drawing, and free play with friends. The parents who add it tend to never take it off.

Behavior Policy

Three-strike policy

+

To ensure the well-being of every camper and staff member, Laurus follows a 3-strike policy for verbal and physical behaviors that negatively affect others. This includes bullying, inappropriate behavior toward other campers or staff, or any action that creates an unsafe environment.

1

Strike 1

The child receives a verbal warning from one of our counselors.

2

Strike 2

The child is sent to the office to speak with the Location Manager, who gives a verbal warning to the parents.

3

Strike 3

The child is sent to the office and the Location Manager gives written notice to the parents, advising that this is the final warning before expulsion from Laurus Summer Camp.

A report is filled out by the witnessing staff and the Location Manager for each strike. Reports are added to the child's file.

Common Questions

Things parents ask the first week

Can my child switch activities or STAs?+
Yes. Kids change their mind all the time, we get it. Fill out the switch request form by Thursday of the prior week and we will take care of the rest. Switches are free if requested by the Thursday before; after that they are subject to availability and possible additional charges.
Can my child switch locations?+
Yes, subject to availability at the new location. Fill out the location switch request form and we will confirm whether the move is possible.
What if my child is going to be absent?+
Email us or call the office as early as you can so we can update attendance and let your child's counselor know.
Who do I contact during the day?+
For day-to-day questions, use (514) 600-0504 or info@laurussummercamp.com. For emergencies during camp hours, call the line and we will route you to the Location Manager on site.
